    UMC TV Thame + Crawley

    Hi,

    I am bit to grey for this, but if anyone knows of someone mad enough to want to get into this trade. UMC at Thame is after a trainee. It is on most of the job search sites.

    Forgot the Crawley one






    This large system engineering company manufactures PC driven electro-mechanical devices and equipment which needs periodic repair in the workshop.

    Duties include;

    ·Fault finding and repair PCBs to component level

    ·PC fault finding and repair

    ·Soldering

    ·Testing electronic and electro mechanical assemblies

    ·Some basic mechanical repairs

    ·Documenting all repairs manually and on the computer systems

    The Person

    The ideal candidate should have the following skills, attributes and experience;

    ·A relevant electronics qualification or hands on experience of fault finding and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.

    ·Good soldering skills

    ·A good working knowledge of electronic and mechanical devices

    ·Previous experience in a repairs environment

    ·Numerate and literate

    ·Self Motivated

    ·Attention to detail
